Qualifications:
nn A minimum of 5 years demonstrable success in estimating structural and miscellaneous steel, competitively bidding on a diverse range of projects in professional environments.
n Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and working with.
pdf files (Bluebeam or Acrobat).
n Comprehensive understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards, encompassing AISC shop fabrication, quality control, and material handling policies.
n Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
n Professional demeanor, unwavering work ethics, and a collaborative mindset, inclined towards mentoring colleagues.
n Familiarity with FabSuite / FabTrol software is advantageous.
n Knowledge of steel joist and metal deck packages (preferred but not mandatory).
n Willingness to go the extra mile, dedicated to task completion and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:
nn Prepare meticulous material take-offs, estimates, and proposals in alignment with project requirements and scope, utilizing design drawings, specifications, and associated documents.
n Formulate scope and bid letters, completing necessary bid forms with comprehensive terms, conditions, inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
n Engage in bid review meetings with Shop, Estimating, Purchasing, and Executive Management to finalize bids.
n Conduct follow-ups with contractors and clients, comparing bid results to analyze our competitive market position.
n Facilitate effective bid hand-off review sessions with project managers, contributing to project budget preparation.
n Maintain an updated company Quote Schedule and Tracking spreadsheet.
